Managing Children's Emotions

Education Creativity Center (ECC) in cooperation with the International Humanitarian Organization "Hope For Children" CRC Policy Center, invites you to an information seminar on Managing Children's Emotions Ages 12-18 on Thursday May 11, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation located at 5 Markou Drakou Street, Nicosia 1102.

This training is created on the premise that emotion regulation is a key milestone in child development that affects academic performance, long-term mental health, and the ability to thrive in a complex world. Our aim for this training is to present and explain the concept of emotional regulation and introduce strategies that parents can use to help their children develop this capacity. Some of the topics we are going to cover include the significance of emotional regulation, how it develops in children and what is the role of the parents in helping children acquire self regulation skills. We will also be looking at how emotional regulation differs in toddlers, children, and adolescents. The training will include theory, group discussion, and interactive exercises.  

The seminar will be held in English.
